My mother GRRRRRR
My mother's computer died, I haven't looked at it yet but my guess is the power supply is dead.
I was talking to her about it, and she's like "What caused it? It hasn't worked since the last power outtage" I ask if its on a surge protector or a power strip, and she's like aren't they the same thing? I explain they aren't and that it really should have been on a surge protector. Then she gets mad at me for not telling her it should be on a surge protector, cause you know she takes my advice everytime I give it. Thinking about it now, I swear I did tell her and she's like oh well.
The other problem with the computer is that its an HP (which i beggged her not to buy, i wanted to build one for her). I'm not sure, but i think some hps have custom power supplies, so i tell her i don't know how much it will be to fix it, and if it is a funky power supply she'll have to buy a new one before i could tell her if anything else is wrong with it.
