[Being an absent-minded sort of person, it took quite some time for Austria to realise he had a guest in his house. Of course he'd noticed when Prussia first brought him there, but it soon slipped his mind. After all his younger self is a very quiet child. He assumed the boy had returned home, or gone to roam free on the meme, but in fact it ( Read more... )

[How do you even lose such a sweet and adorable child? Seriously Austria, seriously!? She had been wondering how the little guy was, but way to caught up in her own family drama to ever ask him. It's been a long and hard struggle but now everything is back to normal, except, of course, younger Julchen is living with her older self finally.

They butt heads it's true, they're both stubborn by nature and Julchen rarely has the patience for her younger self's medieval attitude. But lately though her little self has been freakishly quiet. No interest in running around, or playing outside, she spends most of her time flopped on the couch watching TV or absently flipping through books without really reading them and Julchen is starting to worry.

As touched as she is, in a very weird way, that Germany wanted to take care of her so badly, she can't help but think leaving her in Gilbert's care would have been better. She' tantrumed so badly she was crying when they took her away from him and Julchen can't recall ever crying in front of men as a child. They were so close she feels kind of cruel and perhaps a touch jealous.

So not really sure what else to do to cheer her little self, she sends Austria a text. Hey. Is little you still around? ]

[H-hey, the kid gets by okay by himself! And he didn't lose him, he wandered off! And he's been well looked-after!

It's really quite the opposite here. Austria has negligible patience for, or interest in, children, but being the sort of self-involved person he is, he likes his own company well enough. The boy is annoyingly inquisitive at times, but other than that he's well behaved and does as he's told. He's somewhat in awe of his older self, so he's a little shy around him. Of course he'd be happy to see the pretty lady who played with him again; easily placated as he is, sometimes Austria's house is a bit quiet for him.

He looks up from his toys- Austria has a lot of old things lying around that he was delighted to receive- when Austria's phone makes a little noise, mystified by it. Austria fishes it out, flipping it open to check. Hello. He is in the room as we speak, in fact. Why?]

[That's no excuse, she brought him to you! Don't make her regret it!!

With how much Prussia loves children every one probably thought she would have loved her younger self, and indeed she adores little Gilbert even though he's quite the pain, but she just can't stand the similarities. The crux of the problem is that she's her, she has her features and she has a hard time punishing her for things she would have done or would still do. But undisciplined kids are annoying to Prussia too, even she has little patience for modern children, so being unable to control her is all the more infuriating.

For now they're watching cartoons together. Or rather, Teuton is curled up on the couch as far away from Prussia as she can manage and Prussia popped some on to keep her occupied. Parenting at it's best. At least she's been acclimated to the future enough to barely notice when Prussia's phone goes off. can i bring little me over 2 meet him? shes upset about not being w/ gil anymore... :( ]

[Well, Austria's younger self certainly evokes some memories- some unpleasant, most nostalgic- so he does have mixed feelings. But overall, he's at peace with his past. He can't stand unruly children, but he never was unruly. Truly, Austria's perfect match is Austria. That's why he gets along with Lieselotte so well.

Little Roddy makes his way cautiously to Austria's chair, to peek up at the phone curiously; Austria pats his head absently as he replies. Is she of a mind to behave herself? If so, yes, I don't see why not. I think this one would be interested to see you again. And he'd like to see both Julchens, naturally.

[It's not so much the memories that bother her, though she blames her entirely for the increase of nightmares about drowning, but the behavior. At best she feels like a hypocrite, at worst she turns into her mother. Not a fun place to be in. If only all children were like Germany.

shes quiet anyway Even Julchen will acknowledge this has a chance of backfiring because of her love of picking on weak little Austrias. But she doesn't know what else to do so she follows up, i think she just needs a friend, & i wanna cuddle him anyway!

She would like to see big Roddy too of course but mop of a little self is priority one. Teuton is an annoyance but she worries about her all the same.]

[If Roddy acted up, Austria would be somewhat conflicted about disciplining him too. Luckily that doesn't happen.

He hesitates, figuring that little Julchen might bully Roddy...but he assumes they'd be able to put a stop to it. Besides, big Julchen bullies him... Very well. Will you be coming over now?]

[At least Julchen has the option of making Germany deal with it. Teuton might even like Monika more than Ludwig.

as soon as i can get her dressed Because wool is not appropriate for the summer. Plus Germany went and bought her a bunch of cute clothes when she moved in!]

[Monika is a model Mutti!

I will see you soon, then.

He slips his phone away, prompting a disappointed face from Roddy; he tugs at his big self's sleeve.]

Hm?

What is it? It made a sound.

[He looks quite determined to find out what this mysterious device is!]

It is a device for sending messages. We are having visitors, so please behave. You remember Julchen, yes?

[Roddy does remember, and all thoughts of the phone are gone as he bounces in anticipation. He'll be asking questions until she arrives...]

[She really is surprisingly good at taking care of Teuton. But something are harder than others. Austria gets a string of happy emoticons as a reply- he has learned what those are by now right?-
and then she focuses on bigger issues.]

Come on brat, stop moping around and get dressed. We're going for a play date.

[Yoink! Up little Julchen goes as they start the long battle of putting modern clothes on her.]

[And finally we get a reaction out of tiny emo kid here.]

LET GO OF ME!! I DON'T WANNA! CUT IT OUT BIG ME YOU STUPID PIG!!! I LIKE MY TUNIC!!!

[And so on and on, but big Julchen is stronger and eventually manhandles her into this. It's incredibly hard to find summer wear for little girls that aren't dresses, and Teuton is still very body shy. Germany should be commended for her effort.]

[But now it's time to manhandle her into the car. Because that's always fun. The hassle with the car, besides that she doesn't fully trust it and thinks it's scary, is that because she's such a tiny thing Germany bought her a car seat. Does she care that she's technically seven and a half whole years old human years? And people who are proudly seven and a half do not get put in car seats? No, because schwester she's still with in the weight limit for car seat requirements so don't you dare take her anywhere in your car unless she's in a car seat. Monster.]

Freaking settle down already. We're going to see Österreich. The cool me will even let you text him while I drive if you behave. Tell him we're on our way.

[Perhaps the car seat is a good thing though, as it keeps this little hellion from moving around in the car too much.]

[He's still answering questions about Julchen when the phone goes off again. Roddy peeks up excitedly at it, tilting his head at the odd message; he's been picking modern German up at a remarkable rate. Austria himself has to puzzle over it for a moment, but he gets it soon enough, stifling a smile. Buhyoo... Hello, Julchen. I am glad to hear that. We are waiting anxiously for your arrival. Yours, Österreich.]

Ah, Hrodric...she'll be bringing her own child self with her, so play nicely with her, won't you.

[Now to assuage the child's fears about Teuton...]

[Teuton very badly relays Austria's message to her older self. She's picking it up very quickly as well, though perhaps not as much as little Roddy as she still stubbornly clings to that one picture book to teach her everything. Big Julchen just rolls her eyes a little, smiling herself. It's cute when he plays along with little kids, he's soften up in his old age!

Thankfully it doesn't take them long to arrive in Vienna and at Austria's house. She's not sure how much longer Teuton could stand sitting still. Hopefully the sound of her pulling up is enough to grab his attention as she focuses on getting her little self out of her car seat.]
