Wow, I haven't updated for a while.

So, I haven't updated forever and don't really have anything exciting to say, but I thought I'd might as well update.

Summer is going okay... I have a really amazing job. At first I thought it was just a fluke that I was being treated like a human, but it's been a few weeks and that hasn't changed, so I'm happy. The boss is a friend of my dad's, and she lets me come in whenver I want, wear whatever I want, pays me for my lunchbreaks, and gives me a paycheck whenver I want it. Also, she's hilarious and makes me laugh several times a day. All the employees are really nice, except this one know-it-all douche, but I told him off and he's been a lot better. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Lauren has some balls now. The office used to be a tiny one-bedroom apartment and there are 6 people working there, plus a few clients in there most of the time, so I don't know how we function, but somehow we do. And I just found out they're hiring a new broker soon... ack! I think we're going to have to put him on the chandelier or something.

There's a girl who works here whom I think I was separated from at birth. She's a day younger than me and was born at the same hospital and we have lots of things in common. So it's nice to have someone else here my age.

Even though my dad's been a real estate broker since way before I was born, I never realized how stressful it was until I started working at a real estate office. I'm not a broker-- (I'm doing computer work/phone calls)-- but just listening to annoying customers all day long is enough to make you insane. I can't even imagine actually being their broker. I always wondered why my dad only eats and sleeps about 3 times a week, but now I know why... no one else here does either. The job totally burns you out. I slept for a total of 24 hours after one week here... I don't know how people do this for decades.

Anyway, July 4th was a lot of fun. I met my friend's fiancee and her mom and we all huddled under two umbrellas and a blanket to hide from the cold/rain. It worked pretty well, and luckily it wasn't too awkward. I don't ever remember the weather being like that on July 4th. The best part was that the subway and commuter rail were free after 10:30 p.m., so I ended up saving about $8.50. W00t.

In other news, this random, small, circular bone or something just appeared at the base of my middle finger. It doesn't hurt unless I touch it, but it's weirding me out... anybody ever had this happen before?

Oh! I just found out that I'm going to Israel in December! My first cousin is getting married over there during December break, and I'll get to spend a few days over there and have never been and have wanted to go my whole life, and I'm really excited. It hasn't entirely hit me yet though.

I'm sooo ready for school to start... I think college summer vacations are way too long. They make me get used to "normal life" for too long and that scares me. Just kidding... sort of.

Last night my dad met a broker to have a business meeting with him and when we got there, the other guy was totally drunk, gave me a hug, asked me to make out with him-- (that's when I ran away metaphorically screaming)-- bought me a drink, and then gave my dad and I $100 for dinner and left! haha Oh, drunk people.

Anyway, I should get back to work... hope you're all having a great summer!
