car troubles... as usual
my car threw quite the hissy fit yesterday. i knew i had to jump start it, i've needed to do that since last wednesday. joe & i jump started it & went on our merry way to his sister's new place, which is terribly cute by the way. after being on the interstate for a couple of minutes, we notice that my car is overheating. we get off at the next exit, park in walmart, & pop the hood. joe noticed that the cap to my coolant hose was missing. he threw snow onto my engine to cool it off, & we ran over to the sears auto center 10 feet away from us. they didn't have what we needed, but told us to go to this auto place a couple minutes away.
we get to a napa auto center with the temp thermometer touching the H & me cursing profusely. they were closed. more cursing. ran across 63rd street NOT at an intersection to get to another auto center. got the part. put part on. couldn't get cap off to put in coolant. we figure it's fine & go along our merry way thinking everything is fine now. it overheats again, so we pull into a parking lot of an apartment building & i call my dad asking how to get the stupid cap off. apparently we needed to push AND turn. whoops. so, we get the coolant in, the cap on properly, & continue on without a problem.
i've got to check my car soon to see if i need a jump. ugh.
plus! i have writer's block for the stupid contemporary lit class & the class is at 7 pm. i also need to read the other three stories so i don't bomb the quiz. yesterday took a lot out of me so when i got home i turned into an internet surfing, sabrina the teenage witch watching zombie.
