Dear Baby Daughter Girl,
This letter comes to you a little late because both momma and daddy have been very busy these past few weeks. We are both back working at the same place we were when I got pregnant with you and this is the second week in a row where one of us has to work every day. It is worth it because we want to give you a good first Christmas and daddy is taking college courses so he can get a good job and make us rich one day.
You had your 4 month checkup on Friday and you weighed 12lb 13 1/2oz and you are 22 3/4 inches long. You are still on the short side but you are gaining weight so no one can complain. You cried during your shots, but who wouldn't? Daddy was at work so I couldn't leave the room this time but I was able to calm you down by singing to you. You have what is called a vaginal adhesion and I have to put estrogen cream on you before bed. My options were to either see if it clears up and risk your urethra closing up or using the cream and running the risk of possible side effects. I'm using the cream because recently another young mamma spent days in the hospital with her little girl because of a nasty UTI and I would like to avoid that if possible.
I can tell that our schedule is effecting you, and for that we are both sorry. The good thing is that you no longer hate daddy, but you still scream bloody murder when I try to take a shower and he is watching you.
We got the family pictures from Walmart recently and they came out really good. I just have to get off my butt and mail them out. Also, daddy and I have to get dressed up again and retake the picture of the two of us because my eyes were closes in the one picture.
You are taking to cloth diapers pretty well. I even won $100 in a raffle to buy you new diapers! Daddy still wants nothing to do with it so you are in disposibles part of the time.
I think you are teething, but I'm not sure. You have your cranky moments and you keep replacing your pacifier with your hands but you don't seem to be in any major pain so I'm holding off on the Tylenol. I just have to watch your temperature because I've heard that teething babies sometimes get a fever. You no longer sleep for 6-9 hours at a time. I'm not sure if it is because of your gums or if you are afraid I'll be replaced with daddy when you wake up, but for whatever reason it is, please start sleeping longer. Please!
hugs and kisses,
me
