CSI Crossover, Part 1: CSI: Miami

Nov 09, 2009 21:47

So, I decided I would write a running commentary for each portion of the CSI three-way crossover, and voice my opinions, thoughts, and comments on the events as they occur in the episode.  So here we go.

CSI Trilogy, Part 1: Miami )

The black guy's character is named Walter, but in my mind he will always be Felix, the young and impressionable second sidekick to Dr. Hood on Eleventh Hour. I already miss that show *sigh* but I guess it couldn't compete with Fringe. I love Fringe too, and thanks to the site you linked me to, I'll be able to watch Fringe after The Mentalist!

Oh, I forget the name of the guy with the ponytail (new tech guy), I hate the ME and haven't bothered to learn his name, the British tech is Travers and he's pretty cool, and the hot dark-headed CSI with the stubble is Jesse Cardoza.

Was I the only one sputtering protest at how fast that damn bear went down after one trank?

I miss Alexx. Because she was so much the mother of the team. And she understood H. And talked to the bodies while she performed the autopsy. The new ME seems like he's trying to emulate Ducky a little bit. And the guy with the ponytail irritated me for some reason.

I have to admit that the first thought that ran through my head when I saw Jesse was "he looks like Speed with a haircut." And then I felt bad about it, because mostly it was just the stubble.

Yeah, I was protesting that too. My sister would have been displeased by that too. I thought the bear was dead until it moved in the next shot that included it. It takes longer than that for a tranq to affect something of that size. And what was with the whole, grab onto the other guy and scream bit? Although, I did like the "I can't be small and unthreatening" line.

I haven't been watching Miami (or any of the CSIs) lately either.

The last time I did watch, I mostly remember being amused that Horatio and Jesse apparently had some chemistry (because I think both David Caruso and Eddie Cibrian are pretty lousy excuses for human beings, at least judging by their tabloid reps).

I miss Alexx too.
