Rargh, today sucks monkey balls

So, first off, my head hurts like anything, and it's mostly sinuses, and my afrin has done absolutely nothing for it, and I can't take sudafed unless I want to totally flip my heart out.  I just want to curl up somewhere dark and sleep for a day.

Second, and actually kinda funny was this woman at the store today.  So theres this one store that has ( Read more... )

I know the feeling with the sinuses; I can't take anything with a decongestant because my heart freaks out as well, and I haven't taken a Benadryl since last time I had the flu where it gave me that paradoxical reaction and I couldn't stop sneezing for two hours straight. I've been told to have a look at Zyrtec, so I think I might.

People are dumb and weird, and it's always amusing to see the things they tend to freak out about. There's a couple of small stores around here which do that cart thing. There's another store which has taken a bunch of what looks like broom handles and affixed them to the carts to make them taller than the doors of the store, so people can't take the carts outside.

Congratulations on not being employed by The Great Satan. I love horses... from a distance. Up close they can be kinda intimidating since I'm scientifically aware of just how heavy and strong they are, and ever since an incident in my childhood, I tend to freak out if I'm up high and can't remain steady. I'm not scared of heights, I'm scared of falling, and get minor-to-severe panic attacks if I'm in a vehicle that shakes or tilts too much, so a bouncy horse with a mind of its own is out of the question. Even the most placid old nag might freak out if I start freaking out.

Just sudafed does it. It gives me heart palpitations. Which, y'know, Bad Thing To Happen.

Yeah, I was just, y'know, that's really not something that merits cursing. I amused myself with the 'someone needs to get laid' thought though.

I can totally understand that. They are really really big, but not as dangerous as elephants. I've known some horses that will have someone flipping out the second they're up on the horse, and the horse will just look around at them and be all "what are you on about?" Seriously, do not care about that. It's amusing as hell.
