Must be an Aussie thing because I don't think he's made it up here to the States. Do share, who is he and how did he get your spoons? :)

ROFL! Please don't take that video as an indication of mainstream entertainment in Australia!

Noel Crombie is/was part of an alternative|progrock band called Split Enz. He played drums and percussion, as well as doing most of the costuming and stage sets for the band ( ... )

Oh, that band. Yes I do know them. Didn't know they were Aussie or did spoons. Wow. '84 was a looooong time ago. I feel old. Gee. thanks. :)

Lol, well, technically they're Kiwi ... but we love 'em like our own :) And yeah, '84 was a long time ago - but fondly remembered eh?

Leg-warmers, that awful layered hair-do that I had which took me an hour to curl and fluff in the AM only to have it go flat by noon, mini-skirts, jelly shoes, and like ohmigawd!!, Valley-speak. Yeah. Good times. ;)

Lol, for me it was lycra skirts, a perm that didn't include your fringe and rollerskating :D (I was under 10)

All skate, reverse! I miss rollerskating. I was 12 in '84. Nowadays you can't buy regular rollerskates. They're all inline skates and I haven't quite figured out how to effectively stop with them.

I couldn't stop quickly with normal skates, but I sure as hell can't stop with inline skates! I nearly killed myself last year proving that, lol. I'm sure we can still find them in Oz ... mostly at specialist skate shops that cater for skateboarders and such.
