I might disappear tomorrow.
I'm getting my new MacBook and it might take me a while to set it up the way I want it. Since I'm going to be bastardising my loyal old iBook to do it, I probably won't have internet until it's over.
Then again, beign the g33k I am, it'll probably only take me 6 hours or so to create the partitions and install both OSes.
I'm going to go virgin OS9 on the iBook, with a linux partition for internet cos OS9 sucketh muchly for TCP/IP of late. I'm probably going to clear OSX from the iBook cos I can get internet via the linux partition ... but if I keep OSX it gives me a back up ... hmmm ...
What I might do instead is make a disk image on an external firewire drive that I can mount through linux ... a kind of "virtual OSX" ... nice.
I'm hoping all my existing scripts will just copy across nice and friendly if I say puh-leez ... they usually do. Then it's just a matter of tweaking security and keychain issues until everything plays nicely with others.
I mean, I could just bung the dvd in and click "standard install" ... but where's the fun in that?
