You know, breakfast takes significantly longer to make when you have to fill your kettle in the bathroom, boil it in the livingroom, visit the fridge in the sunroom, make your toast on the dining room table ... and do it all with one extension cord.

EDIT - and then the bloody dog eats your toast.
