I'm tickled about this community, because so many good writers have provided so many good stories about so many fascinating peripheral characters, bringing them to center stage and making them real. It's taken me a while to get around to it, but here are four fics of mine which focus significantly or largely on minor characters, or original characters extrapolated from existing minor characters.
"Scarlett Junction" looks at the life of one little woman Rose meets during The End of the World.
"The Politesse of Love and Flight" is written from the point of view of Harriet Jones' mother; "Copper Armour for Miss Jones" posits a fortunate relationship between the former Prime Minister and Mr. Copper, from Voyage of the Damned.
Finally, "Walk Out With Me To the Unknown Region" is what I thought might have happened to Lynda and the rest of the Game Station denizens in the wake of Blue Rose and The Parting of the Ways. It's told from the point of view of Lynda.
