"Love is the red of a rose on your coffin door..."
Hello to all. It's been a long time since I've updated... So here we go!
Last night I had the amazing opportunity to go to the Taste of Chaos show in Des Moines. There were a TON of bands there, the highlights being: Underoath, Senses Fail, My Chemical Romance and The Used. Unfortunately Kristin and I got there late so we missed Underoathe, at first I was really bummed, but then I remembered that I can see them on Warped Tour this summer, so I was ok with it. We didn't get to see all of Senses Fail's set, but what we did see was only ok. I wasn't extremely impressed. Next major band was My Chemical Romance, wow, it was crazy. Lots of fun. Gerald is SO weird though, his face was practically glowing it was so white... lol. He also talked in some demonic voice for awhile... it creeped me out... Oh well, they were still amazing. Finally The Used took the stage (or as Bert said "THE 'FUCKING' USED"). They were the best for sure. It ROCKED my face off. Talk about a totally awesome experience. They alone were worth the twenty dollars I spent on my ticket. The funny thing about their set was a girl kept going up on some guys shoulders about 20 feet in front of us and she was 100% blocking the stage. The guys next to us were annoyed with her too, so one of them picked up an empty water bottle and chucked it at her. Talk about a money shot, he hit her directly in the back of the head. IT WAS AMAZING! (and pretty hilarious...) She got down right after that. And everytime anyone else went up on someone's shoulders they did the same thing. I was proud of them! One thing I don't like about concerts though is when people do things and say things just to look cool. Like some girls in front of us were probably 15 and they were smoking (sharing a cigarette none the less) and they were trying to look so cool about it too. We were like "come on, get over it, smoking doesn't make you seem any cooler". Also, Bert said something about "Would you take a bullet for The Used?" and everyone was like "YEAH!"... Ok seriously would someone really do that? Talk about insane... It just bothers me... Oh well.
Hmmm... What else can I talk about... I dunno, things are going pretty well. I've been really crabby today and all I've wanted to do is take a nap, but I haven't gotten to yet. So I apologize to everyone for being crabby. I haven't taken one nap yet this week and it's really wearing on me, lol.
I'm kinda bummed because Kristin is for sure going to the University of Iowa next year, so she won't be around anymore. And Liz is studying abroad frist semester. Both of them aren't going to be here. So I'm going to live in a single room (a room by myself), because I have no one else I could room with. I mean, I'm kinda excited about it, because I've heard living in a single is really fun, but at the same time, I wish I could live with someone else. Oh well, it's not like I don't have any other friends. It just really bums me out, I don't know what I'm going to do. Especially without Kristin... It will definitely be weird. I dunno, whatever.
