Another Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Roundup??

DWM confirms that the "Anniversary Special" will start shooting in April 2013 and is a "love letter to fans". But then, they would say that, wouldn't they? ;D
Matt Smith is potentially SPOILERiffic about what won't be happening in said special. Or maybe not, really. And when it comes to what will be happening in the special - and in his own acting career - he plays his cards characteristically close to the vest.
And...it wouldn't be a Doctor Who anniversary if Aunty Beeb wasn't trying to make a few quid off it, but on the other hand the 50th anniversary-themed releases of reprinted books, original audios and Spearhead from Space on Blu-Ray do all sound pretty tempting to this economic unit. If I had a Blu-Ray player, mind, or didn't need to, like, eat, pay bills etc.
And a friendly tip; if you buy nothing else out of that lot, get Festival of Death if you haven't read it already. It's ace.
