Happy 51st Anniversary, Doctor Who!

Nov 23, 2014 16:49

Does it seem like a full year to all of you since we watched The Day of the Doctor? I'm not sure that it does - time flies, as they say.

In any case - happy 51st Anniversary to all of you. I have marked the occasion by watching The Horns of Nimon and The Robots of Death - have any of you done anything more proactive in honour of the day?

Keep your 51st Anniversary Fanwork-a-thon works coming. And no worries if you don't have them finished by the end of the month - please post them to the comm whenever you are able.

More anniversary stuff from around 'tinternets:

The doctorwhotv site would also like to wish you a happy anniversary.

That stalwart of British news reporting The Metro lists 9 unique things that have happened since the 50th Anniversary (SPOILERS! for Series 8!!!) - and if you fancy making any bold, sweeping statements about the series that you will regret later, there are even voting buttons you can tick.

Digital Spy take the anniversary as an opportunity to consider Doctor Who's unaired pilot episode from 1963.

And not strictly anniversary related, but Colin Baker shares his thoughts on Series 8 and The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot. I for one hope they manage to come up with a good idea and get cracking on that sequel.
