There are a bunch of other questions on my mind, but that's the foremost one.

(Oh, and it's not that he made the Master a woman - that I don't care about - it's that he brought the Master back that baffles me.)

Mine was more 'Did you forget to ask if you could use the Rani?' I mean... female Master? I'm annoyed.

Well, I'm guessing they didn't go with The Rani 'cos casual viewers won't know her, nor diehard NewWhovians. Whereas we've seen The Master since 2005.

I'm just pissed off they went on down the route of batshit!crazy!Master they started with Simm. I HATE that!

The more reason to bring her back tbh. Master is now WAY overused (although I still want more because Michelle Gomez made me laugh a few times).

Ugh, batshit-crazy is not fun at all, I'd like her to be 'being crazy' to annoy the Doctor and maybe get smarter soon? (does this make sense, I'm half-bombed)

I'm not sure I did make sense of that second paragraph.

What I liked about Delgado!Master - who remains my favourite, and the best incarnation of the Master - is that his PLANS may be off the wall and crazy, but he, himself, is not. He's quite sane - just seems to love coming up with convoluted plots (mostly 'cos he wants the Doctor's attention, I feel!)

That's the kind of Master I want to see.

I like your idea of Delgado there, that's the Master I miss (although I was very okay with Ainley!Master being a little bit of a dick and messing with the Doctor because he can) I'm just fed up of the panto-ness of this latest one.

I mean Simm basically went "MWAHAHAHAHA I IS EVIL, HERE ME BE WEIRD" and I winced so much. I quite liked what we got from Yana, that was a little less panto, and I do like Michelle but she has gone a bit too far into panto-land again.

I do wish we'd seen more of Yana!Master - I've a feeling Derek Jacobi would've been outstanding...

Exactly, and I feel like if Michelle was allowed to be less 'Crazy because of drums' and more the thinking-but-playing-insane Master we got from Derek I'd probably be okay with it all.

I should add I'm overly harsh on Missy because I liked that damn character idea and now it's gone a bit... odd.
