I've got "Black Mountainside" & "Blown Away" bookmarked to read all in one go, I just have to find a few uninterrupted hours.
Have read and thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the series.

I realise this is a bit odd, but I've been meaning to read Black Helicopters for months now, but I have this impression that it's quite angsty. And I don't deal with unhappy endings all that well, so I need to ask, is there a happy ending?

Hm, I give up trying to figure out this screening thing. SO here goes:

I'm not above roughing up characters for the sake of a story, but I don't enjoy hurting them just for the sake of hurting. BH is a pre-series AU, sort of an alternate take on how John and Rodney could end up on Atlantis even if their histories are different. The goal is for them to arrive there in one piece. ;)

Okay, that's good enough for me :D Thanks. Now if only I could make time for it! Real life, what good is it for?

Where does Big Dish Guy fit in the recommended order?

Ah, Big Dish Guy is back story to Black Helicopters that I basically wrote for my own comfort. Chronologically it falls between Blown Away and BH, but if you haven't read BH first you'll miss out on all the in-jokes.

I just finished reading the entire series and I'm in love with every single bit of it. I'm a sucker for Angsty John, but what I really appreciate is how the all the major characters are smart and competent. I won't mention the specific things I liked because there are people here responding who haven't read everything yet, but, trust me, there's a long list. :-)

Great story, thanks
