i gots a family
God is just perfect in his timing in how he just knows what i need as i need it, not as i may desire.....
yesterday i met a friend at sweet shop and had banana ice cream w/fudge swirls, twas delicious!! but yea, God has placed the most amazing people in my life, and for whatever reason, they want to know and spend time w/me, which is just such a blessing. this one girl in particular hung out in my dorm the other week, and we all had hot chocolate...in red plastic cups. it was a fun experience to say the least. anyways, so last night, she gives me 2 mugs!! 2 microwavable mugs now sit on my desk and everytime i see them i think about how natural it seemed to her as she unzipped her backpack to give them to me....
tonight after navigators, we all went bowling and everyone fit together like one big family. i have older brothers now, not just younger ones....they are protective, fun, energetic, and completely devoted to Jesus. i love them so much, and i love the fact that we can have deep conversations about God and life, and yet still have fun goofing off and being ridiculous (bowling especially...)
and so i am now officially part of 2 families here: my Dorman family and my Navs family, both of which intermix at times, which i love and hope to have that more often in the future. this week is now pretty much over since i don't have class tomorrow, thus, i shall sleep in as late as possible (which i have not done in a really long time) and go to meet w/my academic advisor so that i can register for 2 more classes and keep my scholarship...yay!
