"hi! (yawn) what are you doing here?"
have you ever acted strictly out of impulse, made a decision so fast that it was more of a reflex than an actual cognitive process? well, i experienced the liberation of such an action today. without so much as a warning, i knocked on someone's door and introduced them to a friend of mine in the same dorm (yet they don't know each other b/c of the unsocial atmosphere of suite-style dorms). it wasn't until i opened the door that i realized the actual surprise of my unexpected visit- they were napping! with a brief apology for my randomness, i took the liberty of not only introducing myself to the other roommates, but my friend as well. i recieved the responses of my shocked victims quite well, hardly ceasing enough to permit even the tiniest bit of silence. my friends, however, are both grateful to have met each other, despite the informal manner in which they were introduced. the whole situation was quite hilarious and entirely spontaneous, with a hardly a thought given to the idea until after it all took place. hopefully they will meet up, since they are dorm-mates and both unhappy about their present living conditions....
