Questions by toffeethesnob...
Comment with your favorite color (or a color you really like, if you don't have a favorite) and I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can get to know you better. Update your journal with the answers to the questions if you'd like. Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions.

1. Which version of Sailor Moon is your favorite out of all the adaptions?
2. I've noticed you have quite a bit of affection for FFII, what is it that makes you love it so?
3. What's your favorite recipe?
4. Name a few of your favorite Sailor Moon characters and the reasons why?
5. Which series or fandom inspires you the most?

1. Which version of Sailor Moon is your favorite out of all the adaptations?
Oh, this is a tough one! I tend to think more in terms of what parts I like most in each version rather than which ones I like more. UM. I'd say PGSM. Overall, I felt it stayed true to Naoko's original interpretations of the characters, but at the same time explored the characters and the story more than the original manga. (Which makes sense, as Naoko didn't have the time that PGSM did to do so.) I also liked how PGSM adapted stuff from beyond the Dark Kingdom arc, like Venus taking up the Outers' plot and Princess Sailor Moon being a stand-in for Saturn. Though I really could have done without Sailor Luna. Really, the only negative things I can say about it are the shitty special effects, and at least it didn't have copious amounts of filler.

2. I've noticed you have quite a bit of affection for FFII, what is it that makes you love it so?
Well, it's not nostalgia talking since I didn't get into the FF series until the PS2 games came out. In some ways, I like the simplicity of the plot, which also hasn't been subject to frequent retconning. coughFFVIIcough It also stands out as, IMHO, the standard FF plot, and it's fun to see its influence in later games! There's also plenty of wiggle room for writing fic! Then Dissidia came out and I loved it even more. Firion is so adorable and Empy is the most magnificent of Magnificent Bastards!

3. What's your favorite recipe?
If you're talking about recipes I've posted here, then I'd have to say Rockin' Crunch. It tasted so good and it was fun to make something I'd never made before! (Namely, caramel.) If you mean recipes in general, then I honestly don't know how to narrow it down.

4. Name a few of your favorite Sailor Moon characters and the reasons why?
Let's see...Out of the Inners, I think Mars and Venus are my favorites. Regardless of which version you're familiar with, Mars is super fierce and independent and you just don't fuck with her, and I love it. Venus, on the other hand, I love most for her manga characterization, where she's utterly insane but you can still tell she's the leader of the Inners; Venus works hard and plays hard! (Her anime characterization is cute, but they really make her incompetent in the later seasons and her PGSM characterization just doesn't feel like her.) For the Outers, I'm gonna go with Pluto as my favorite. She's led such a lonely life, but it she doesn't let it keep her down! Plus I like to think she enjoys screwing with the others about what's going to happen in the future.

Zoisite's been my favorite Dark Kingdom member ever since I watched the English dub, largely because he fights dirty and is such a drama queen. From the Black Moon Clan, I really like Demand and Saphir, due in no small part to their wonderful portrayals in Sera Myu. Tomoe is hand-down my favorite Death Buster, because his anime version actually has a personality and it's not annoying as fuck. (Though I wanted him to actually be evil like in the manga.) And I really don't feel strongly about any villains past the Infinity arc. ^.^;

5. Which series or fandom inspires you the most?
Once again, I can't pick just one, though there are a some fandoms I involve myself in more than others.

Sailor Moon: Sailor Moon was both my first anime and my first fandom, which means it was a BIG part of my life when I was younger. Oh, the mountains of SM OCs I created...And I also roleplayed before I even knew what roleplaying was. (Basically, my friends and I would call each other up on the phone and we would narrate the fight scenes in addition to dialogue.) I actually still have SM OCs and plans to do a rewrite combining aspects of all the different versions, but hell if I know when I'll actually get down to it.

Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts: I'm not sure whether I saw Advent Children before I got into the KH series, but either way, I was instantly hooked. The OC I might or might not do something public with actually started out as a KH OC and I've found that a lot of my fic and real work has been influenced by FF! I've got so many headcanons, you have no idea. I also want to do a rewrite for KH, but I've actually done a lot of planning for this one, so you might see it before too long!

Axis Powers Hetalia: I found Hetalia completely by accident and I know the fandom has an awful reputation, but it actually helped me realize that I didn't want to be a surgeon by reminding me how much I loved history. It's why I'm currently a history major! Despite its faults, I love what the fandom's done with the series; I've learned so many things and met so many people from all over the world! I've also made over fifty OCs for it because I decided I was going to do the U.S. states.

Bleach: It's only been a year since Michelle got me into Bleach, and already it's drawing more of my time and energy than any other fandom except FF/KH, and even that's stretching it since there haven't been any real FF/KH updates in a while. I haven't been this excited about anything in such a long time, you guys! While the pacing isn't great and some of the plot twists are UNBELIEVABLY STUPID, Kubo is wonderful with characterization and relationships. (Yet another series I wanna do a rewrite for, and I've got a solid plan for this one, too!)
