why the hell has it taken me so long to
1) get around to reading somerville's fucking awesome Queering the Colorline, and
2) revisit my fabulous Ultimate Divas cd???
These (re)discoveries have made for a fulfilling day.
I *might* get to go to Buenos Aires for a month this summer, if the funding comes through from my department, which is pretty likely. That means I'll only be spending June and July in Princeton, mostly studying french and writing about gender and the Social Gospel. Then I'll head to Argentina for a month and end up in Atlanta for a week or two before returning to Princeton.
I also found a good place to sublet this summer--it has AC, which is really all I needed. And it's not terribly expensive.
I owe Stephanie an apology for completely bastardizing her explanation/critique of counterpublics today whilst discussing it with some english grad students here. I'll do better next time. ;)
