A few months ago, I was watching Bubba Ho-Tep, with my mother (of all people).
"Why didn't they bother putting any age makeup on him like they did with Bruce Campbell?" she asked me, referring to Ossie Davis (aka JFK)
"They didn't need to," I said. "He's like, 85." She didn't believe me one single bit.
"Shut up... he can't be a day over 60... if that!" It was only when I showed her his page on IMDB that she believed me. He was the true epitome of growing old gracefully. Just compare him to other octogenarians like Jackie Stallone... and you'll see what I mean. And yet he was still having fun right til the end. He was a great man, and excelled at pretty much whatever he put his mind to.
