I play Belarus as mostly pro-Lukashenko, however let it be known that this is to match the interpretation given by Himaruya Hidekaz and not representative to the way I see Belarus historically or otherwise. Though I try to slip in history where I can with my limited knowledge of it, in the end I'm only playing Belarus from Hetalia and not literal, historical, Belarus.

If it were up to me, the story would not be about her love of Russia but would instead be about the constant oppression Belarus has faced in having an identity. It would be about the amazing strength and perserverance of people who have faced so much and continue to weather it with dignity and continual pride for their country. It would be about being a battleground for hundreds and hundreds of years whether it's politically or otherwise and about holding together and becoming something strong in spite all the odds.

Natalia Arlovskaya is not Belarus. Belarus is what the people of Belarus make it.
