Thank you. He was a very neat person. Mom's taking it very hard (he was her father). I'm just happy there wasn't bloodshed at the services when my Great-Aunt couldn't understand why Grandpa got a flag on his coffin instead of flowers. Loudly not understanding at that. Finally one of my cousins just clamped his hand over her mouth. Thank goodness she wasn't at the graveside service (which was later in a completely different part of Colorado). I figure Grandpa would be laughing about it.

Thank you. I'm sorry you've lost yours. He was the last of the grandparents for me.

Yes, same here. She was the one who always played with me the most as a child, and really, she was my best friend. Are you doing okay now?

He told me actual stories form WWII, stuff he'd sugar coat for everyone else. I've this gift for people telling me things they usually never tell anyone. Mostly I'm okay. Tired, very tired. Mom is driving me nuts (he was her dad). I should get cookies for not killing any of my family during the days we were all crammed into my Uncles' tiny, tiny place (with one, count it, one bathroom).

I've been trying to write, but I get about three words written and I'm trying to lay my head on the keyboard. So, I'm sleeping a lot. I'll come around pretty soon, I'm sure.

My sympathy's dear. Funerals do suck and someone always tries to feed you those nasty lemon square things.
Chin up, hope you're back soon.

Thank you. Yes, yes, they do. Actually no lemon squares, just lots and lots of Jello and I hate that stuff with a passion. :P

last funeral I had to go to it was caned asparagus wrapped in white bread with margarine. I have no idea why. I think a whole study could be done on funeral food.

Okay, that's just nasty. Oh, I wrote a paper once in college on funeral rituals and the whys and whatfors. My teacher wanted to flunk me because I pretty much said that the dead person usually would love to come back just to smack his realitives for the crap they put themselves through for the funeral services. :) His boss wanted my to expand my paper by another fifteen pages. People are just weird.
