I was asked: What was the first House episode you saw? I had mentioned that I hadn't seen the show from the begining. And I haven't. I haven't seen anything in order at all. Seriously out of order. Oh, and I talk about what ones I've seen under the cut, so there be spoliers for those of you that avoid such things like the plague. (I don't get into details too much, but I expect the comments might.)
The first episode I ever saw was No Reason. Then Meaning, then Damned if You Do Damned if You Don't, Cursed, and then the Pliot. I've seen the first season clear through in order now (DVD's are a wonderful thing, even more so when gotten as a gift). I still haven't seen a good chunk of the second season and I missed a couple of episodes of the lastest season dealing with Tritter (even though I like the actor well enough, I disliked the character from the instant he tripped House).
So, think about it. My first impression of House was during a hallucination inside the man's head. Oh, and do you know I've managed that sort of intro into more than one TV show I've gotten interested in. For Stargate SG:1 the first episode I saw was the 3rd season one where Daniel's wife dies and you are in Daniel's head for almost the whole time.
I seem to manage one of two things when starting to watch a new show: I see if from the pliot show like I did with Pretender, Profiler, The Sentinel, MacGyver, Monk, and CIS. Or I come in on a huallucination/drugged/what-the-heck-is-happening type episode like I did with House, Stargate: SG-1, Dead Like Me, NCIS, and Firefly.
Fun, huh?
