I don't know if you've all heard about this already but a particularly unpleasant group of users have decided the way to go is to create LJ accounts that mimic or copy those of a community's admin even down to the default user icon. Then they post an entry in the community, posing as the admin, which claims that the community is "reaching its limit for new members", or similar, and offer a link to a new community with the added incentive that the present community will be deleted within one week. The link to the new community is false, designed to lead to an infected page that will attempt to install all sorts of malware on your computer - as well as the perhaps-embarrassing appearance of lots of very obvious and very wrong porn.
So to prevent something like this happening to our community and as a warning for other communities you may have joined, there is no such thing as a member limit and this community will not be deleted. Ever.
