#11 - Midnight
It was midnight, the witching hour and something had made Erica stir out of her warm bed and the even warmer embrace of her girlfriend. A sixth sense had kicked in telling Erica that something was not quite right. Walking down the stairs in her robe she saw a shadow cross over below her, picking up a handy metal softball bat and gripping it firmly she walked silently down the stairs, at the bottom she walked in the direction the shadow had gone and switching on the light, she prepared to swing...at nothing but her new cat sitting on the table purring away. She scratched her head and sighed, slowly calming her wildly beating heart with deep breaths trundled back up the stairs and back to bed, before she was missed.
