So i read this book today called "unspeakable" about evil in the world and injustice that plagues humanity and how most of it is our responsibility and i got this unsatiable need to shout about it. so heres my shouting....

Ignorance. Silence. Indifference. Hatred. The intolerable sins that we commit willingly. The sins of the world that don’t make headlines and don’t even make it to the hearts of civilized people. Children are starving. Homeless are freezing. Genocide and war are parts of everyday life. Even in the most civilized of nations, racism, sexism, ageism, hatred, run rampant through society. People hurt everyday and we look on with our full stomachs and hardened hearts to silently decide to do nothing. We watch real, human people, kill, abuse, torture, mislead, and hate other real, human people, and are somehow able to go about our day the same as the rest. Headlines of death and destruction only penetrate our steel façades if we have, at some point, experienced the same tragedy. Hurt only affects us if it affects us. Why does indifference rule a society that shouts about equality, progression, and good? Why do we formulate opinions about others actions and commit the same in our lives. Why do we fund national projects toward humanitarian efforts but never think about the eye contact we avoided with the homeless man outside the grocery store? We claim to be an educated people; one who seeks the truth and searches for the answers to life’s questions, but we teach our children defense mechanisms and ignorance. We shelter them from the real hurts of society and evil. Maybe that is the transition between childhood and adulthood. The realization that the world is capable of evil and worse, that the world is made up of people who breathe and cry and die, just like ourselves. Evil is around, through and in us, and the worst of our sins is to ignore its presence and power. We willfully join the forces of the Nazis when we perpetuate a society of xenophobia and racist jokes. We join forces with the communists and the dictators when we ignore the 29000 starving children everyday. We join forces with the devil when we hate. We can transfer the latest on the Michael Jackson trial around the world and back at the click of a mouse, but when will you hear about the millions of deaths of Rwandan children and families that we chose to ignore out of convenience. We talk about humanitarian rights but we don’t live them. Ask someone who’s had injustice done to them, whether their perpetrator deserves rights. We talk about equality but black individuals still can’t get home loans. We talk about justice but children are still raped and molested, sometimes in their own homes, and there is no one to spare them from this. Where is our compassion? Where is our love? Where are our patience and sorrow and trust? Why do we seek to escape aging and death and financial instability instead of the God of the Universe? Why are we the twix generation instead of the Jeremiah generation? We grumble about mayonnaise on our overly processed hamburger but when a voice is needed to shout about injustice, oppression and awareness, the world has taken a ciesta. We will go out of our way to pay revenge to one who has hurt us before, but we will not spare an afternoon snack to provide clothing and shelter to a family that has nothing. We will spend decades and dollars trying to ruin the reputation of opposing political leaders but we do not have money to spare for the offering plate. What is our answer to the problems of this generation, the problems that plague man at his core, but never penetrate his surface? What is the answer to the sins which not only are committed, but also covered up? The answer is at the foot of the cross. We have been searching for the quick fix, for the all purpose solution, for the end-all, be-all. We devise plans, create theorems, do scientific research, and live lives searching for answers that we’ve had for 2000 years. We have created our own human sculpture of solutions which is a horrid and distorted version of the sculpture of Jesus Christ. We have worshipped the idols of beauty, which fade with age and sickness. We have worshipped the idols of intelligence, which are changed everyday. We have created absolutes out of lies, and “love” out of lust. We send our children through up to 30 years of education but don’t have the energy to get up on Sunday for church. Why do we formulate questions that we have created the answers to? Jesus Christ has made the ultimate sacrifice for our lives and yet we aimlessly search for something to hold onto. Jesus changed the fate of the world and yet we try to create our own fates everyday. Jesus is the answer. Jesus is the hope for the world. Jesus is the food for the starving, shelter for the homeless, hope for the dying, comfort for the afflicted, joy for the broken hearted, and love for the unloved. If we are followers of his it is about time we do something that we preach about. If we are followers of his it is about time we model his behavior. If we are followers of his it is about time we believe what we say we believe. And if we are followers of his it is about time we tell the world the answer to their undying questions. Those of us that have the answer send the world to hell with our silence, send the starving children to their graves with our inaction and send the hopeless and hurting to depression and suicide with our indifference. We are called to teach. We are called to preach. We are called to LOVE one another. We need to care more. We need to seek more. We need to know more. WE NEED TO LOVE MORE.

Im totally not allowed to hang out with mike boone anymore. ever.
