I happened to catch a reshowing of the "pilot" episode the other night on Bravo (Canada), and I swear to God there were scenes in it that I don't remember seeing before, and I've seen the pilot ep at least a few times

The Canadian (and U.K.) pilot was 20 minutes longer. I hope they include the deleted scenes on the DVD.

Yeah... there's a longer version apparently. The way the series aired Peter doesn't meet Moz until Book of Hours so those cut scenes contradict it. They probably cut those for time and then wrote Book of Hours scenes so Peter could meet Moz.

Except the pilot with those scenes has aired in several other countries, so they all saw Peter meet him before Book of Hours. It just makes no sense. Kind of pissed off, to be honest. Meh.

This makes much more sense now. But I do hope they include the scenes as deleted scenes for the DVD. At least then you can think, okay, they weren't really supposed to be there in the 42 minute (or whatever) pilot.

I'm glad it wasn't just me. I seriously kept yelling at my husband - "I don't remember this scene" - and he thought the stress of getting ready to move had fried my brain. *snort*

Are these extra scenes where the whole thing about Mozzie living in a storage unit comes from? Because I keep seeing that reference in a lot of WC fanfic and I can't for the life of me remember this ever being mentioned in the show. I just put it down to the fact I hadn't seen most of the eps. more than once and forgot.

Moz did talk about the storage unit in "Out of the Box" when he first meets Peter. But it's one line in the middle of the scene. Moz is talking about why he does what he does and Neal says something like, "Moz you lived in a storage unit"...

I think you mean "Flip of the Coin" - "Out of the Box" is the finale. And yeah, Neal says Moz lived in a storage unit. :)
