Don't Tempt Me

Feb 13, 2007 13:33

My patience drains as hours pass.

I've had enough with the world,

But I'm still going to fight,

Because too many act wrong,

And I'm hustling to do right.

A boring life can turn interesting

Too quick for you to imagine

Change has limits and ceiling

Happiness falls before you know it

Leaving you with a bitter feeling

Revenge isn't on my list

Of what I'll resort to

Compassion breaks down barriers

But it's become a rare resource

In need of many more carriers

Cruelty shouldn't be a policy

Anyone has to abide by

I've been cruel in my past

Now I realize the mistake

Can you fix your behavior

Before you're too late?

Minds tell you wicked things

If you're willing to listen

Some have sense to guide

Them through the twilight

I've only got bad matches

Providing me little light

Can good days last 24 hours

Without becoming sour?

I wish everyday was good

Now I'm running on empty

I'm never in a friendly mood

So don't try and tempt me
