(no subject)
so i auditioned today...
SO HARD.
i totally messed up the tonal memory after like the 7th one.... i got so frustrated that i couldn't focus and messed em all up. so we moved on to the cluster chord, oh cluster chord.... i got 3 no problem right away, but then the chord faded and i was like "heyyy play it again." so he did and then i forgot which ones i had already sung! hehe. but it's alright, i got the 2 middle ones which are the hardest, just not the top which is the EASIEST *slaps head*
then came sight-reading and i was like "SHIIIIIIIIIIT" but did perfectly except i messed up a third at the very very very end. blech. a THIRD! thirds are EASY... do mi, do mi... *sings to self* silly me. but i said "heyyy i messed up that third didn't i" so i think i got some points just for realizing what my mistake was.
he said i did better than 90% of the other people who tried out.
so that's cool.
oooh AND i have a really big range, so he said i could sing any part. so... that's cool too. but if he moves me from 2nd soprano i'll eat his face. with powdered sugar.
i reallllllly hope i make it. argh. i'm pretty sure i made callbacks, because i did pretty well today. there's a quartet audition in a little under a month, but i'm not too worried about that.
i ditched 6th and 7th today to go to lunch with kyle brady-san, and after we ate i came home and my mom was here! it was like 1:30, so obviously she knew that i had ditched... but she was like "it's okay *groan* i'm sick, will you cover the store for me until avery gets out of school?" so i ditched class to go WORK. *sigh* typical...
