woodland creature

Looks like the hills had their first hit of snow last night.  With the trees starting to turn color and the low hanging fog visible I just couldn't resist the shot.  Seems like everyone around me right now gets so grumpy when the weather starts turning cold like this, griping about how they will be cross until spring, they want the sun, yadda yadda.  I don't want to hear it.  If you don't appreciate the northwest and its beautifully mild chill, refreshing precipitation and lush landscapes, GET OUT.  No one is asking you to stay.  Some of us adore it.  So let us enjoy.

As I look outside, Andrew Bird's Supine seems very appropriate.  Such a short but hauntingly intimate piece.

Looks like I'll be singing after all for my friend Christie's wedding in June.  I'll be doing Mindy Smith's version of What are You Doing New Year's Eve for the reception.  Their first date was on New Year's Eve, so it has sentimental value.  It'll be the song for their first dance, so I'm VERY excited.  Always the wedding singer, never the bride.  : /

I'm going to have get studs for my car sooner than I thought.  This is going to be a rough winter I think.
