Today I got cocky. Wyatt has been letting me pet him so regularly that I thought I would have no problem at all giving him the anti tick-flea-worm medicine 'Revolution'. It's a gel you put between the cat's shoulder blades. He saw it coming 10 feet away and hated me for the next hour for even thinking about giving him meds. I didn't even come close to success. Where did cats get this sixth sense about humans conniving to give them meds? There is no evolutionary explanation.
You can take the feral out of your cat but maybe you can't take the ticks, fleas and worms out of your ex-feral cat.
