Anywho...Today has definitely felt like a Monday. I started off today with Melissa. We did a couple of things together. Then after meeting Bobby Jindal (sort of) and starting to feel pretty BLAH I was dropped off back at the office.
Then after all this I found out that this Thursday EVERYONE FROM THE STATION is going to Jena, Louisiana for the Jena Six Rally. This Jena Six thing has become (has really already) gone too far. It is absolutly retarded.
This black guy (18 yrs old) still in high school and five other guys beat the crap out of this guy. Knocking him out cold and kicking him until his face was a bloody plup. The main offender, Mykal Bell...this was his fourth offense of battery! He didn't even get suspended for this...none of them did...they all played football for the remainder of the season and now now they are the victim of a hate crime.....because some dumb white boys hung nooses in a tree on campus, which is what started this all after a previous incident with a black girl and a white boy (No details on that)...it really is all so dumb.
Well I will not be attending the Jena Six Rally on Thursday. I will be here in Alexandria manning the desk and probably being really bored for the most part. Whatever.
This weekend was pretty cool. I am bring some pictures tomorrow to put on Facebook and here.
We had a great time though...I ate three meatpies and a funnel cake...got sick around seven. Not good. But I really want to go back to Natchitoches for Christmas gifts. All the little shops are so cute.
