Gee Haw!
I'm baaack! Did I miss anything over the past week I was away? I haven't read back through my Friends pages yet.
Stephen and I had a lot of fun up in Black Mountain. Saw lots of family (mostly his side - they're great to hang out with!) Ate a ton of food and drank a lot of beer/wine. Shared some cigars late at night and passed around the homebrew. Heard cows mooing in the pasture next door and crickets and other bugs at night. Played horseshoes (not very well.) Snapped pictures like crazy and sketched a couple of views in the mountains. Went to a Mountain Heritage Festival and saw the 25th Anniversary World Gee Haw Whimmy Diddle Competition. Yes, I'm serious. I even have photos to prove it. Got serious exercise just walking down and up the driveway - it's got switchbacks up a steep hill.
So who knows what a Whimmy Diddle is? Ever played with one? O_o
Whoa... I just realized that I have six nieces and nephews. Wow. For some reason that seems like a lot. Saw five of them this weekend. :-)
Now I'm tired. Gonna surf the 'net and go to bed.
