C'mon, vacation....

Some positive things:

I have nearly made it through the week. A week of 45-minute drives each way to KSU, two 3-hour model sessions each day. I managed to find parking with minimal hassle each morning. I have employed a rolling soft-sided cooler to carry my modeling stuff and lunch, so my shoulder is much happier.

Our wine is decent and drinkable. That means we can take it to Hilton Head this coming week and share it with family.

We are going to spend a week in Hilton Head, celebrating my MIL's 60th birthday. Whee! Saturday night we'll have a Lowcountry Boil and oysters, Sunday we're going on a boat to see whales (or something...) We can rent bicycles, and I love Stephen's family and will get to see lots of various people I don't often see over the next week.

Tonight we ate a good meal at 5 Seasons North. Met up with someone Stephen's been working with and had good beer and great food. Yum.

We have a new computer monitor that blows the old CRT away. This one's an LCD, and so bright and crisp I don't know how to properly calibrate it. Now I can actually see all of the digital photos we've taken and been sent over the past few years. I mean, *really* see them. Like, whoa. ;)

A week away. Near a beach. With fun people. Yay! We leave on Saturday - that means I have one day to pack (okay, not a good thing.)

I so need this.
