Has anyone ever been able to understand how itunes categorizes music? I was having a bad moment and had a need to have a blast from the past "dance around the house music moment" and decided to find the dregs of 80's music left from my CD collection (most were albums and left long ago). The songs were filed under pop, rock, electronica and alternative with no actual logic to how that pairing happened (two different versions of the same song were placed under pop as well as alternative). "Closer" from NIN was under Alternative but "Head Like a Hole" was Electronica/Dance.

Is there some random genre generator somewhere ?
