My dad's making me be a street vendor for two and a half hours while he goes to work. Doubleyew-tee-eff.
I don't want to. Why? Because I hate people. Not really but there's
this thing I have where I'm only outgoing with strangers when I'm not
alone & when I've had a really good day. But today, I'm gonna be
all alone & my day's been pretty uneventful. My dad said I'd get
money. But what would the money be from, the things I sell? YEAH RIGHT, I'm not selling anything. Why am I even doing this?! because I love my dad
that's why. I'm such a sucker. Blah. I should go charge my iPod, it's
gonna be the longest two & a half hours of my life. Next to the 2.5
hours which was part of the 24 hours I was on a bus to Florida. That was hell.
In other news, my mom found China Men at a library. There's no way I'm reading it now, I have no time. I have to finish AP French work even though even if I don't, I'll probably do fine in the class. Maybe.

So I'm back. I guess it wasn't that bad. It was interesting, in fact. When my dad left & I first sat down I looked up at the sky & there were like a million papers waving in the wind in the sky. I had no idea where they came from & they glittered in the sky it was amazing. For the first time ever I didn't have my camera & thus could not capture the glorious moment. I was so mesmerized by the sky. Where did the papers come from? What did they say? Did someone get angry & chuck all of his/her paper of his/her office window before s/he quit? Did someone accidentally turn the fan on too high & years of hard work are now out there floating among the people and buildings of Brooklyn Heights? I finally stopped looking because I had to tell people prices & whatnot. I looked up again & the papers were gone. It was depressing. I wondered if they fell to the floor or not. I figured it was pretty impossible because the wind had been blowing non stop for quite some time.
I made $27 dollars. I sold a bag & a pair of sunglasses. I convinced a lady to buy a hat she thought she looked goofy in. I was so proud of myself. Too bad she didn't have enough money.
Speaking of sunglasses, I tried on basically every pair of sunglasses. It was hilarious. Once again I wished I had my camera. I found a pair in which the lenses were red & I was wearing red that day so I thought it'd be cool to chillax in those for a while, even though I was in the shade. I didn't know how I looked though, becuase I looked in the mirror & everything was red. So I looked at the sky, imagining what life would be like if the skies were red. I looked to see shapes in the clouds but couldn't find any. I lack imagination.
I saw a lot of interesting people on my way there. A mom & her son who both wore livestrong bracelets. An elderly woman whose neck was twisted so she was stuck always looking to her left. The people who live two houses down. They didn't recognize me. Except for the boy. He pretty much just stared at me, just like he usually does when I pass his house. A crazy man who was mumbling a lot of... I don't know what.
There was also a parking space the size of one & a half cars next to the table. The cars around it never moved, but the cars that pulled into that parking space never stayed for more than an hour. & they always parked so they were taking up the back half of the parking space, thus sometimes slamming their doors into my table when they got out. Many different cars. First was a van, the passenger got out & went to the bank. He came running back out with an envelope & the van speed away as soon as the majority of the man was inside the car. It was like they just robbed Bank of America. Then there were three ladies. A young one, a middle aged one & an elderly one. The younger one & elderly one got out first. The middle aged one stayed & plucked her eyebrows & the hair growing on her chin & applied tons of makeup. The two ladies came back & the middle aged woman left & came back 30 minutes later with a bag of groceries. A Quest Diagnostics van pulls in but pulls out 20 mintues later. An Asian man pulls in & tells me not to worry, he'll only be parked for 5 minutes. I didn't really care. He came back 30 seconds later & said "Thank you." A man & a woman pulled up next. The man opens the door & says "I guess I parked too close to your table, huh?" I answered with a lazy "yeah" becuse I was observing the fact his side view mirror was shattered into a bazillion pieces.
My dad came back & drove me & the lady who has the table next to his home. Her name's Nubian. Mhm. She had a headache. She sold jewlery. A lot of people asked her how much my stuff cost because hey, why would I be selling anything, I'm just a kid. Yeah. My dad let me start the car. I haven't done that since I was 12. No, 11. When I was 12, it was the second half of 6th grade & I took the bus to & from school. Since then I've rarely been in the car. I forget seat-belts exist. On our way home, I saw the lady with the son who wore live strong bracelets. It's like when you see one of your subway regulars walking down the street. Happens to me all the time.
Just thought I'd share. Yeah. That was long. I haven't had a long entry in quite some time....
