First day of school could've been better
It was the first day of school today. It wasn’t anything extraordinary, and I really hope school gets better. I remember at the end of last year, I would actually look forward to each day, remembering each exciting moment, and savoring each minute. I remember back in January through April last year, each day would drag on, all days running together, and me just wishing each one would be over. In May everything changed to where I was happy everyday again. And right now, I don’t want to go back to the way I was in January, where nothing tells a day apart, and where each day feels the same. I want to wake up in the morning and be excited to go to school and see my friends, not knowing what each day will bring. I’m just so scared that senior year won’t be all I imagined it to be. I’m so afraid that it won’t live up to my expectations. I don’t think my heart can take having another year like last year. God blessed me so much today, and I just have to say thank you to all my friends (and especially to my mom) for praying for me, because that certain idiot wasn’t in any of my classes! Lizzie cracked me up though because she told me that he was in her Spanish class, and he sits pretty close to her (and she wants to bring gushers to school tomorrow hahaha). Lizzie was freaking out, all like “Eww! He’s in my Spanish class!! I just realized today that he REALLY isn’t good looking!” LMAO. I love you Lizzie!! Yeah-I saw him for about two seconds today-and I realized, Lizzie is right, he isn’t all that good looking (partly due to his weird looking hair cut, lol). So the fact that he didn’t look all that great sure made me happy, lol. I feel bad for Felicia because she has 3 classes with him! She made a face and said, “OMG-I have to sit next to him!!!” But on the other hand, seeing another guy kinda made me sad. I saw Alex for about half a second, but I totally didn’t even acknowledge his existence because I was in the middle of screaming Margaret’s name as loud as I could down the hallway. But with my one quick look out of the side of my eye, I totally saw that he was wearing a pink tie! Is he trying to torture me?! LMAO. He could’ve worn anything, but no-he had to wear a pink tie. I have a soft spot for guys who wear pink ties! So the whole time I had to repeat in my head, “Monica be strong! He’s a jerk and just wearing a pink tie doesn’t change that!” LOL.
For some reason today I was really hyper in math class, despite the fact that Ms. Kotzan (aka Ms. Disciplinarian) was the teacher. Margaret and I were digging through my purse and playing with the most random things. She took my highlighter and would spring it up in the air. Ms. Kotzan walked by and said, “Wow-you’re talented!” HAHAHA.
Lunch kind of sucked due to the separation of friends at our tables. This was all because of one girl, who refused to sit at our table because she was having a little arguement with one of our friends. And so she made her own table, which about 4 of my other friends decided to sit at, splitting up our group of friends. If I personally had a problem with someone who was friends with all of my other friends, I would suck it up and sit at that table anyways. I would do that for my friends so that they would be happy. I would do that so my friends don’t have to go through all of that stupid drama. I wouldn't want to have them worry so much just because of me.
