so my display picture explains it.
my passion.
is theatre.
and i made the show i auditioned for!
I sent out a general email to my BST old casties about it, so if you actually read this and are not a part of that--ask me about it.
BIG! The Musical again--playing Ms. Watson--the description they gave us at the show read:
"A flighty executive secretary assigned to Josh...enjoys life, her job and people...can be a little snippy at times"
hmmm. well when we did it this summer, she was geared to be about 60 years old, very crazy and insane. i have no idea where they're going to take this.
but it should be interesting--it seems almost like a Jim and Susie production back in Manty--
lots of adults thinking they know what they're doing just because they're adults, when really the ONLY person who was organized and had his head on straight was the 17 year old choreographer. Maybe that's why Quince has been able to thrive for 40 years? Food for thought right there.
But I do know the female lead--last show we were in together was 6 years ago back in Manitowoc in Quince--SMALL world. her boyfriend also used to live w/my brother, sister in law and nephew. again, SMALL world. with that said...it should be...INTERESTING.
so that's all that's been my life now--I've realized how much I really hate my job, but cannot leave because with NO college degree, I won't get a better job than this. that is sad. :( I wish I could lose 50 lbs so I could move better and either dance or act or (after stopping smoking for good) sing for the rest of my life. Performing is just what I love to do--I would never get sick of it.
sigh. alright. time for bed--and then back to the work week. yippie fucking skippie.
emilee out.
EDIT: I almost forgot to mention--in the show, they cut two of the songs of the lead female (that made no sense to the rest of the show) but cut a whole bunch of funny diolauge and huge chunks of songs that are going to make this show not be as clever as it really is. sigh--while i think its great that people have their own view on it, why ruin such a great thing?
