That is to say, I WILL be back shortly! In like 3 and a half days, to be exact!
I know, I've been bad at keeping up on this thing, too. And, yet! We shall persevere, shall we not? I think we shall.
Anyway. I miss real, midwestern-worthy meat stuffs. Not just steak even (although, omg steeeeeeeak), but just other things with proper meat on them. I'm nearly out of meal plan meals, the cafeteria is clearly running low on things (I know for a fact they are out of butter) and I AM HUNGRY, dammit. Although they did make cheesestick thingies today, and they weren't half bad. Kindof on par with Arby's even, maybe. Happy thing that, anyhow.
Also. ALSO. New favorite thing about living in Boston: They have a Christmas tradition that's been going on for about a decade, wherein, for charity, there is a Santa Speedo Run. A SANTA SPEEDO RUN! Where lots of people go and stand around waiting for this exciting display even, and other people come up and ask you what parade is coming. Yes, I have pictures. It's no good trying to discuss this any further without the pictures. You will see them.
I have not missed finals. Lo and behold, they are upon me. Yet another paper to write for the confusing history lady. I don't even know. I'd rather return to writing random ficlets about stuff. Draco, for example. As being forcibly coerced to join a xmas production or outreach of some stripe. Perhaps even being kidnapped by someone to go and sing xmas carols at muggle houses, because who would want to miss the expression on his face once he realized they are muggles?? Alternatively, the lotr cast could be asked to put on an official Christmas pageant for charity. (Elijah would totally insist on being Jesus!) Viggo would try to just direct, and not be allowed to. Management totally wants him as Joseph and if anything, he wants to be a shepherd. Billy, Dom, and Astin are the three kings, but those first two hobbits can't stop bickering over which gift they're carrying. Liv and Cate each kindof assumed they'd get to just be the angel, but someone's got to be Mary, after all. There is much side-eyeing and trying-to-trick-you conversation. Or, Ian thinks Orli might just do if he can find the right wig.
Take it, people! Anyone? Wifest?
