Yeah. While Envy was singing, Gideon snuck up on Scott in the crowd. There was yelling, about Ramona. (Which they could both magically hear even while the music was blaring and the rest of the crowd was fixated on the stage.) And then pummeling, as Gideon took punches at Scott, fast enough that it looked like he had eight arms.
The last punch went right into Scott's chest.
And pulled out a sword. GIDEON STOLE THE POWER OF LOVE! WHAT A DICK! Scott leveled down. And now, people were starting to pay attention. Even Envy, although she was still singing. She'd been expecting something like this to happen, after all. Although the sword thing was a bit much.
Then Gideon asked Scott to join him in together ruling Ramona's future love life! (So... that was what this was about?)
"I'll never join you!!!"
So Gideon shoved the sword through Scott's chest. There was -- there was a lot of blood. Spatters of it. The band's music screeched to a halt, as Envy was gaping from high up on the stage to where Scott slumped down onto the floor. His eyes were little Xs. Gideon kneeled down to check on him.
Yeah. Dead.
He looked up and smiled. "Okay! Drinks are on me!"
