So I finally watched last Monday's episode of 24, which is really the first one since my increased level of fangirling. I was just totally weirded out watching it because it was really hitting me that it's Cherry Jones. On 24. That's kind of awesomely random. I mean, obviously I've watched her on the show since the season started, but I've spent the last two weeks reading about her theatre work (and cultivating this obsessive desire to see her in any play), so it suddenly strikes me as crazy that this well-known stage actress is appearing on TV in this role that could have potentially been boring and sort of a figurehead thing, on a show that isn't necessarily recognized for its emotional depth the way other shows are. It seems very random and out of place, and I didn't entirely realize it until I evaluated the rest of her career and tried to merge the two.

2. lmfao Allison. She's so outraged at everything.
3. Aww, she asked him how he was doing. In like, a private phone conversation. That's nice. Most presidents would have just glazed over that. Palmer would have been like "I appreciate your sacrifice to this country." Logan would have been like "DAMMIT JACK WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME?" Wayne would have just cried about something totally unrelated. And I don't think the other guys really would have given a shit. It's nice to get the girly perspective.
4. SO CUTE. I would ship it but this is just so gloriously simple and I want to enjoy it for what it is.
5. Blackmailllll. I hope he succeeds. I want Ethan back.
6. Oh man, don't get Aaron involved in your scandalous happenings.

8. It's so rare for Jack to be in pain and not in control. It's pretty awesome and scandalous.
9. "And I can scream very loudly when the occasion demands." Oh my god, she has NO SHAME.

11. Why does this show have a thing for weird voluntary rape-for-the-sake-of-national-security storylines?

16. Oh man, burn. I love you, Olivia. Well, no, I hate you, but that was kind of excellent. So you're off the hook for a while.

19. What a BADASS. When she sits there at that table it's pretty clear that she will smack any bitch that gets in her way.
20. "A proprietary line? How did he manage that?" I'll have you know, I'm even more impressed, because I don't even know that that means.
21. Oh man, Jon Voight/Cherry Jones showdown. Sarah Palin-loving Republican/awesome lesbian showdown, even.
22. "...Jonas." OH NO YOU DIDN'T. First names = lovers. And she TOTALLY called Jack by his first name twice in this episode (and I think it may have been unprecedented at that point) so there's definitely some sex to be had there.
23. Awe man, she looks all scared. Fuck. Love her.
24. Runninggggggg. Man, she looks freakedddd.
25. Oh shit, she is PISSED. I LOVE IT.
26. This entire scene is goldddd just for watching her freak out.
27. lmfao it would be hilarious if she was just like "Oh man cool, see y'all later" and left like nothing happened.
28. lmao okay I'm pretty sure she just did that. Sweet.

Sidenote: I love Cupid. It satisfies the romantic sap inside of me, and the cynic in me doesn't have to waste time objecting to everything because Sarah Paulson is already doing it for me. It's pretty convenient.

These are from right after it was announced that Cherry won the Tony for Doubt. (Sorry they're so small; I screencapped a youtube video of her acceptance speech and I didn't want the excessive pixelation to ruin the cuteness.) I don't think I've ever fangirled a non-fictional kiss between two women in a relationship, so this one is pretty epic for me. It just seems so innocent and sweet, with the hand-holding and the eye contact and everything, so...I ship them forever, pretty much.
