First Day of WorK!
I Worked tonight, 4-9. It was hilarious, i got there and they just through me in, i was doing fry's and sandwhich building all night. I didn't know what i was doing, but i caught on fast. Chuck, my boss said that i was the best first time performer he has ever seen. Said i did really good. I was busy the whole time, there wasn't much breaks and then i got one 10 minute break. I liked it. I work again Sat. 12-5pm. I made myself a frosty and a cheesburger when i was done. it was good, but i was sick of fry's because i was dealling with them all night, making a new batch every 3-4 minutes. I i got burnt buy the grease, that sucks.
They scheduled me for 5-9 on Sunday, during the superbowl and i planned on having friends over, so i got Juan, who said we would cover for me. Juan is funny, he reprograms the machines, so instead of saying FRIES or NUGGS, it says JUAN. The Boss Chuck is cool, but this little guy who is maybe 20 is the manager and he was a lame-o. He said i could go on break, so i went on break and watched the DVD on how to make sandwhiches, so i could get better, and during it i was adding up my hours for next week on a calculator and he got mad at me for not watching the video. I told him it was my break...remember. and then he felt like a jerk. then i was doing dishes at the end, which sucks, but it was cool because you can listen to music and The Cure "boy's don't cry" and Talking heads "life during wartime" played back to back, and i turned it up so i could hear it over the running faucet. I was sliding around, it was awesome. then Peter, the manager came back and turned it off...so i turned it back on. There is no reason to not take advantage of an oppurtunity to listen to music while at work!
It went well, so far so good. But they put me down on Weds. for 4-11pm, that seems like a big shift. 7 hours.
