"Hello, Father. My flight was delayed," he explains as he steps inside the house, mustering a faint smile in return, playing the game. "I trust you're well? And Mother?"
"I'm just fine, dear." His mother emerges from a nearby door, setting a slender volume down on a nearby side table and approaching him with open arms. A warm hug and an air kiss, and she pats his cheek.
"It is good to see you, Wesley. Oh my, perhaps you ought to shave -- you are terrible scruffy."

"Come in, boy. We've been expecting you some time, now."
