So I am slightly new to the Jossverse, and I haven't watched Firefly yet, because I'm watching Dollhouse now. So I don't really know who Jayne is...does this mean I can't participate? :/

Not at all. The link up there should give you access to some pictures of him (seen in my icon) and any picture will do. Google image search is also always my friend and go to. If you need help, or would like me to upload some caps for you to choose from for that icon, I am more than happy to do it. :)

Also one more question: Do all images have to be screencaps, or can there be photoshoot images of the actors/actresses as well?

Never too many questions. This is what I'm here for. (Apart from the coding and general madness.) ;)

They can be screencaps or photoshoots of the actors/actresses, BUT some cases do call for things that would be easier to do with screencaps. A good deal of these can be accomplished either way, but the category icons and Dead Man's Party would need to be screencaps. Other than that, it is up to you. I'm not strict on the themes or anything. As long as it looks like you are on the general track of the theme, it is perfectly fine. I want it to be more fun than stressful.

So this is probably a silly question, but for Reptile Boy, does the icon have to be of a male character? And can it have more than one character in it?

It can be of as many characters, of either gender, as you want. :D (Not a silly question at all. I'd wonder too if I wasn't in my own head. haha.)
