Round Eight :: Themes/Category/Table
+ REMEMBER If you would like a participation banner, please say so in your post to this community. I will no longer just make them for each person who finishes a set, so please let me know if you would like one.
::RULES::
+ You must be signed up and have your name listed here to participate. If you missed sign-ups for this month, friend the community and stick around for the great icons, voting, and to be notified of sign-ups for next month's challenge. :)
+ Challenges will typically run from the 1st of the month until the 20th at midnight PST. (3am EST on the 21st and various other assorted times in various other assorted time zones.)
+ ICON POSTS MUST BE PUBLIC UNTIL VOTING IS CLOSED. You are allowed to either post here to the community, or at your own journal/icon journal.
+ Icons must all be new and made specifically for this challenge.
+ Icons must fit LJ standards. (No larger than 100x100 and 40kb.) NO ANIMATION.
+ Let's keep things PG-13, please. Everyone's bits and pieces should be covered for the most part, and don't leave f-bombs all over the place. If you are unsure whether an icon would be okay, feel free to ask.
+ Post with only 3 teaser icons. (*channels Monty Python* "3 shall be the number of the teasers, and the number of the teasers shall be 3.") Everything else should be below a cut or after a link. If you post them elsewhere, again, please remember that the post must be PUBLIC until the end of the month.
+ You don't have to worry about tagging. I can take care of it for you.
+ Important: Please try and comment on each other's posts. You know how much you enjoy receiving feedback, so be sure to give as well as just waiting to receive. ;)
Your first 10 icons will illustrate the following themes:
::Themes::
1. Out of Gas -- Show a character or characters on/in some type of vehicle/transport. Motorcycle, car, bus, spaceship, horse, etc.
2. Reptile Boy -- Required texture/stock. Your icon must feature a scale-y texture/stock. Several options are HERE, or you can find your own.
3. Passion -- Kisses! Sexy good times! (I'm sure you all know what to do here!).
4. Jaynestown -- It is all about the HERO OF CANTON! THE MAN THEY CALL JAYNE! Any and all caps welcome as long as they feature Jayne Cobb. (Not Adam Baldwin. They should all be in character.) There are some suggestions where you can find caps here.
5. Band Candy -- Your icon should feature a song title as the only text on it. Any song title.
6. That Vision Thing -- Focus on a character's eyes. It can be through the crop or through the expression of the character that this is achieved.
7. School Hard -- This is a text challenge. Your icon must include a picture of your choice AND the following phrase: "See __(person)__ __(verb)__." Some examples: "See Buffy Slay." & "See Angel Brood."
8. Beneath You -- A split icon where there is a pic on the top and a pic on the bottom. It can be horizontally divided straight across, or slanted slightly.

9. Phases -- Your icon should include a picture of the moon when it is in any phase. Crescent, Half-full, full, etc.
10. Dead Man's Party -- Death scene icon.
Your next 5 icons will fit into the following category:

The icons for this category should all be from the same scene and sequential. Tell a story, show a range of emotions, however you want to do it as long as they are all from the same scene in the same place.
