Joke / Song in English that doesn’t sound English
This is a bizarre request but here goes:
Quite a few years ago I attended an EFL (English as a Foreign Language) workshop and the instructor broke the ice but getting the attendees to stand up and energetically repeat some phrases which sounded vaguely like what an African language might be in a vaguely African tribe song way. In the end we sang all the phrases in one go. Then he switched the tune and articulated the words better and it became apparent that it was a very famous English pop song we all knew - perhaps something about the sun but not I’m walking on sunshine. Is there any joke in the US or the UK where a mispronounced phrase is revealed to be a pop song?
Unfortunately I can’t contact the instructor, he sadly passed away a few years back and none of the attendees remember the song.
