Movie with a dead girl
About the murder of a girl. She had been a small-town girl who moved to LA to be an actress but became a prostitute. Had a sexually abusive stepfather. Had a daughter she wanted to give a present to (think it was a stuffed animal) but got killed before she could. Movie begins with a woman who runs away from her verbally abusive mother and finds the body of the dead girl. Ends with the mother of the dead girl traveling to LA and hangs with her daughter's former lover/roommate who is a woman and also a prostitute.
