Many, many years ago there was an ad in Britain for tea. The storyline was about the new vicar visiting his parishioners, and drinking tea with an obviously devout, hopeful stereotypical spinster. He made some joke about getting the last of the tea in the teapot, and someone said "Spinster's joy" or "Widow's joy". Does anyone remember this expression, and what exactly does it mean?
