Wistful
1. This song has lyrics like "I wanna live like that/I wanna go/run/drive that far" but a google search brings up Bret Michaels and Trisha Yearwood, which this is not. This is pretty recent, alternative and kinda softer sound. Wistful-feeling. FOUND it's Kitchens of Distinction - Drive that Fast.
2. This was on a singing competition show a few years back (pretty sure it wasn't Idol), and performed by a man and a woman. It was a poignant-sounding song that had to do with American...roads? American steel? American way? Something like a "back in those days" vibe. It was really pretty, a more mellow rockish sound with a nice harmony. Found! Can You Duet's "American Track".
I'm totally stumped and they're driving me nuts, so any ideas would be great!
